McLeans Freight Service origins date back to the late 1960s founded by the late Laurie McLean. McLeans Freight has been offering Northern New South Wales an uncompromised freight and parcel service between all national ports. We began with a little Ford F100, delivering papers and general freight around Lismore and the Northern Rivers

In 2020, over 40 years later McLeans Freight Service is still going strong with a specialised fleet of over 45 vehicles. With a team of 75 people we have the right drivers and office people to help you the best and most efficient way possible.

With specialised GPS tracking incorporated in our two-way systems we can contact our drivers any time of the day and know exactly where your freight is for maximum efficiency.​

Unfortunately, in January 2015 Laurie passed away, leaving a proud legacy that is McLeans Freight. However, Laurie’s daughter Leisa has taken over and the service continues with the expansion into new areas.
